What my fellow members are trying to say is, be aware there are alot better music production programs out there. Just so you know.

Ahh, memories. I got my start on Music Generator 2 about 3 years ago.

Too bad I wasted a year doing stuff on that instead of moving on to FL sooner.

God, my stuff was horrible on that thing...

wow.. I would have to say this is the biggest n00b thread I have seen yet

but all is not lost.. perhaps you can stop waisting your time producing with video games? Try downloading a demo of fruityloops.. it's easy to use, and ppl might take you a little bit more seriously..

*laughs again*

Not very nice to laugh at the guy just cause he uses Music 3000

After all Me, Echano & Chris Shepherd all started out using the Old Music 2000 on the PC/PSX before moving on to Reason & whatnot.

The great thing about these programs is that although the sound is nowhere near Floops or reason, they have a very good learning curve, and do help a lot for learning the basics of music production - I shit you not.

this is true.. my first couple songs were samples I found on some P2P program mixed using ACID.. *remanises*............

but anyway! - as soon as I found out about FruityLoops I started using that (as terrible as I was at the time) and then progressed back to ACID.. then to Sonar, and now i'm using cubase...

now that they know about FurityLoops perhaps they can stop waisting their time with PSX games.. so as I said before "all is not lost."

My first trance track was made in Goldwave by using a $20 microphone to sample percussive loops and synth sounds off of my yamaha keyboard and then copy+pasting them into an audio track.

Try getting in the rice crispies box. That should give the lead some reverb to make it sound less thin.
