I am angry and my opinion of the movie does not reflect my opinion of Christianity, Catholicism or any other religion. A normal human being should be able to distinguish good from bad. However, when you air movie like "Passion" to masses, you're bound to hit at least one target with whom this garbage would strike a note and provoke for evil.
If you take millions of people who will see this movie, some of whom are devout antisemites, who are not afraid to act - what you get is your proverbial "adding fuel to the fire".
I don't understand the value of this movie. What does it portray? How does it help a Christian/Catholic/whoever be closer to the Bible? The main message in the movie is not "Christ died for your sins" it is "Jews killed Jesus".
Now, take just one case, just 1 - if someone decides to take a life of another human being after seeing this movie, because he/she feels the movie provoked these emotions - wouldn't it be a worthwhile reason to protest and scream out in anger - to make people aware? So, before you tell me to shuddup and call me names and flame me - think about that... Think - is even one life worth it?
I don't buy the b-s about "Oh, I wanted to do something for the people" - he's sowing the seed of hate and makes money on it at the same time. He stands to make something obscene - in realm of $300 Mil or more for the movie, while pushing his antisemite agenda. While promoting his movie, I didn't hear Mel promissing to donate any of the money to world's hungry (non-jewish) children or poor. If he wanted to do it for his faith, he should have said: "I'm not making a dime on this movie - it will all go to charity".. and even then, his intentions would be dubious, at best.
Well, all I know is if someone does end up getting hurt as a result of seeing this movie, you'll probably see some lawsuits being filed against Mel. It would be sad, sad, sad day but I hope they sue him and get him for all he's got. Though, loss of human life would be a terrible tragedy - even his. If something should happen - let it be on his conscience - that he added fuel to the fire.
User your own brain, end of story.

Mel actually ploughd lots of money into this film because no one would invest, so he took a risk to make it, so why cant he take the reward from it? he does not recieve ALL the money made, because that is distrubuted out.
From what i know Mel is a very good man. He leads a model life and he is never in the news for anything bad, or thats what i know off. He has lots of kids and respects his wife like a good husband...(if i got this wrong well then im sorry)
If you think a film like this causes people to use it as an excuse to do horrible actions, then u may as well stop nearly everyhting in life. e.g.
Car kills people everyday, so lets just stop ppl using cars.
Films too, lets stop horror movies coz u give ppl the incentive to use that film as a means of killing someone, or even murder detective programmes like CSI or something, and u can know how to commit the perfect crime. The list is endless...

If you're comparing Hitler and Lenin and Stalin to MM M&M and Britney Spears, we have a problem. Hateful men with the control of a nation are far more dangerous than angry, disturbed and slutty public icons, in my opinion anyway. Of course you're entitled to your own opinion, which is 'Fuck Mel Gibson, passionately.' The Jews did kill Jesus Christ, it's a fact, get over it. If someone wants to use this as a reason to desecrate a Synagogue, then so be it; they are horrible people. Don't project your anger onto a man who wrote a movie.

No one told those vandels to do any of that. Unless it's a Neo-Nazi faction. If it is, then they were ordered to that, and you should hate their superiors. What did Mel do you to you?

You cannot blame other people's actions on someone else. The end does not condemn the means, if I can bastardise the phrase. You have the freedom to state your opinion on Mel Gibson, founded or not. He has the right to write a movie, controversial or not. No one has the right to piss on someone's beliefs and disrespect people like that.
