These look great, but I have one question..

Since the platter spins, I can see how one could drag their finger along the outside of the platter to slow the record down. But, I know some dj's make corrections on an analog turntable by manually grabbing the pin in the middle of the platter and applying more force. My question is, how could this be reproduced on this cd player? Any ideas?

Paul,

Did you get stung with duties and taxes on your previous purchases?

Drool.

Time to sell myself on the street corner for a few nights to get one of these.

I've heard about there being bad reviews from DJs who played on these once they hit the market. (keep in mind they have also used the Pioneer ones as well)

I have heard poor reviews of these as well, as far as I am concerned if I was going to get a new cd deck, it would definantly be the new denons. I have heard nothing but good things about those decks.

I'm not positive, but isn't the CD read, then buffered, then played? Couldn't they just give it a long buffer to simulate?

I did but to be honest it was nothing major. When I bought a pair of Techs 1200 MK3s 2 - 3 years ago, it cost me LESS with all the Duties and Taxes than it would if I were to buy them here in Toronto.

Nice try, but that doesn't play vinyl.. The record is there only for the vinyl "feel". That record doesn't have any music on it.
