A lot of the current 'trance' producers will have fallen off of the musical radar or joined onto the ranks of the "next big thing" as old washed up musicians. A few of the producers will have moved to behind-the-scenes production work for commercial successes in order to survive in the music industry.
Really - a stupid question, anything could, and probably will happen.

One thing I wanna see happen in the future is trance music being more well presented on TV or at the movies.

Let's be realistic people. In 21 years, trance music as we know it will cease to exist (except as old songs from right now). I'm sure there will be a type of music around that draws influence from trance, but by that time it will have probably mutated enough to sound drasticly different from current trance, and therefore wont fit under the trance genre anymore. The exception to this will be if trance becomes as widespread and popular as "rock," a term which spans many genres and covers all sorts of music that doesn't sound anywhere close to the original rock music that spawned the term "rock."

Underground will live forever baby. We're just like roaches... Never die, always living. And on that note, let's get back to the program...

It is really hard to tell what is going to happen, since there is no way to predict. Although you could try to draw parallels to the evolution of music from 80's till present.

Thats what i think too. Really hard to predict, except that trance in the future will be more complex and stuff.

I agree that there will be some new style of trance and the type of trance we listen to now will no doubt cease to exist. Only time will tell
