I use mixmeister for my mixes and i can make really descent ones...i will upload one soon for TA:s to critisise ....well well thereis one big major problem with mixmeister and that is that it never calculates the BPM correct.....it always calculates somwhere between -2 and +2 from the BPM you have choosen....so then you have to listen and figure out how much it calculated wrong and the correct it.....You out more feeling into your mix this way but its alotof work

I have Atomixmp3, Mixvibes Pro, and PCDJ Silver.
I use mostly PCDJ. it's just easy to use for me.
Mixvibes Pro is great too. but not as easy to use as PCDJ.
AtomixMP3 is really awsome!!!! it's just like 2 winamps and a crossfader!!! I like the BPM functions too.... it helps me mix alot.
maybe I'll start using it in my sets... (yes, I use a computer in my DJ sets....)

anyone else have this problem? (if you leave it on autosync the beats still don't match...)

ABT...i've made over 60 mixes with traktor....they sound real professional....traktor plain rox !
tell me which 2 songs u had trouble crossfading...its hard to believe that u cant make a decent crossfade with traktor !

Smiley DJ who's down wit da VTT?

It may be personal preference, but nothing beats mixing by ear, and VTT is the best program to do that. Everything else (tracklisting, mp3 organizers, AutoBPM, autosync, auto-look-mom-ima-dj!!) is just fluff to me.

I won't be a dick about this though... some aren't serious about real DJing, and/or they just want to make quick mix compilations- so I wont argue with them. (something any music lover would wanna do, without banging thier heads at the technical aspect)

But if you are an aspiring Dj who wants to get real equipment sooner or later, I seriously reccomend VTT as your practice tool. It's the closest you'll get to 'real' DJing on a PC because you rely on your ears, and not a lame BPM detection algorithm (which aren't always accurate either.)

Hmmm maybe thats the prog for me...cause the funny thing with mixmeister is that it has this auto BPM calculator.....but since it always calculates wrong.....i still have to go by ear and listen if the track goes to fast or to slow....lol......

Worm Popper VTT : Best mixing program!!

I totally agree with goodnet in this issue. VTT is by far the closes dj'ing program when it comes to djing. Most people rely on BPM counters which are not always accurate, but i think your only cheating yourself. If u want to do quick mixs then maybe ok...but then again your transitions might not sound as nice.

I've been using VTT for 3 years now and i have made professional sounding mixes. It just takes practice and practice to learn the jog dial and training your ears to beat match.

Talking

comment about headphone setups

In vtt u can have a real turntable setup with headphone monitoring, there are different options...but i prefer using two soundcards.
I dont know about other mixing programs, but im pretty sure there setups are the same.

slap in an external mixer and your good to go!
