Mindshifter - thanks for all the information, those sound like the type of places my friends and I would like to go out to. I'll probably try and catch Lotus since it's the newest and the "place to be", and I won't be out to Denver again for quite a while.

As for the afterhours - Are these typically popular places for everyone to go hang out at, or for people coming down from their evenings with nowhere better to go?

Floorfiller - you have to come out for this man! After all our bantering back and forth over our musical tastes and our defending of Oakey for the past 3 years we should definitely meet up.

a bit of both really...sometimes it's crowded with people still eager to party and sometimes it's full of people just relaxing until they finally go home.

as for the purple martini that mindshifter mentioned don't go there. go to any of the other places but there, everytime i've been it was wank and the crowd sucked. that's my personal opinion anyway...

yo UWM...if you have the time check out Boulder if you arent just chillin in Den. my former/soon to be hometown again/or something is awesome. its a bit outta the way if you arent based in Denver as it doesnt lead to Vail/Aspen the usual Western destinations in CO. Boulder used to have Soma which was a killer lounge...but no longer. my dad still says it best tho, if he lived anywhere other than Boulder itd be Madison|
