Who is commited to giving up-and-coming artists time on the airwaves. Who actually connects with his fans during his sets and is completely humble enough to hang out with his fans after a set? Maybe it's just the St. Pat's Guinness in me...I don't post here much, but I think you all know what I am talking about. Can't wait to see y'all at AVB...
I know what you're talking about, but u have to remember... Oakenfold has been around ALOT longer than Armin. I'm sure if Armin was around for 20+ years, he would get kinda tired of it too.

Oakie sucked ass at Ultra, but then again he only had an hour. I'd rather see Armin + Markus at Spundae.

Well I haven't seen either yet, but considering all the posts I read about Armin and Oakie, I'd probably go see Armin instead. And what a coincidence, I will be going to see AVB April 2nd in SF! Woot woot. Can't wait. Armin that Friday, local Modesto rave the following night. What a week that'll be.
And remember folks: heez nam iz Armin van Buuuren, non stoppeng dee mex!

When Oakey was here in SF in January, he certainly wasn't bad. It was entertaining and all, but his track selection was just pretty generic...didn't seem like he played many rare whitelabels and stuff...I've heard local DJs and other bedroom DJs (who I've heard online) play track selections kinda close to what he played.
I am sure Oakey will be packed in LA no matter what, because tons of people who don't know the genre still have heard of Oakenfold and all the mass-media praise he used to get and will go see it...just like here in SF...90% of the crowd obviously had no clue about EDM, but the place was still overflowing and was completely sold out (including door sales) before the door even opened.
