What I don't like is that when an artist gets MTVified , the artist doesn't strive to achieve their best in the future. They get lazy.
It is not the artist that controls their actions anymore, but rather they are controlled by the same media that is spoon feeding filtered content to the public.
My example would be Oakenfold. Sure he was liked more before he achieved fame and such, but after he "sold out", what has he contributed to EDM?

artists like that are destined to sell out... its not the mainstreams fault... if they have no love for music, they'll sell out or quit eventually... true artists will never sell out regardless of commercial success...
plus, you have to remember that in europe, guys like ferry and tiesto ARE the mainstream... i really doubt airtime on MTV or z103 will even register a blip on their radar...
