i love it. Its well produced, and not cookie cutter music. You can't label it trance either may be thats why people dont like it.

yeah, this definatly isn't a trance album. I find it more like electronica.
But it's a wikkid album none the less, a totally new, fresh style.

Heh, I can't really decide to be honest. On one hand I love the tunes but at the same time I feel he went way overboard with the stutters and other effects.

I thought it didn't really sound like a BT album. It sounded more like a pop album to me....

The album has it's good points ("Communicate" and "Force Of Gravity"), but there's a ton of filler, making it my least-favorite BT album. I would stick with "Movement In Still Life".

Its highly under rated IMO. Its a very good feeling album for the most part. However, one thing is certain, it does not "blow".

Indeed, it has vocals for all of the tracks but I think they are very well produced. Nothing cheesely. I think BT wanted more a of commericial feel to it as apparent with the vocals (and also the rock tunes, which are very well done). His previous albums in comparison are more trance/electronica. Which is what most people were expecting but ET is good notherless.

I don't know, it would seem that some people consider vocals as being commercial ************ of the quality of the track.

BT's a genius beyond compare. I have no qualms in saying that.

He realizes there is a certain irony -- maybe it's harder for an underground dance producer to make pop music than a lot of people realize.

And oh, if you didn't like that, check out the Monster score. What I've heard of it so far, anyway, very lush and melodic and low-key at times yet brooding and full of... Emotional Technology? Can I say that ?

Most of the criticism I've seen of BT comes with the territory, and stems from jealousy and insecurity.

I don't know BT personally nor do I claim to, but as a human being, he seems to be a genuinely nice guy. I doubt he would have so many collaborators and friends among the top tiers of musicians (Tiesto, PvD, Hybrid, I know I'm missing a lot of names here) if this wasn't the case.

To be honest my first impression of this album must have been bad. But some people just got to realise that what BT done in this album is quite unique, i mean if you tell any other electronic producer to make a RnB or Rock song... what do you think it will sound like? Cheese at its best. The way BT made this album show all genres in a professionalism state is just pure genius.

This album is a masterpiece, sure it can't be regarded a trance album but who says you have to be close minded about everything.

I think this can be said about Paul Van Dyks "Reflections", though Paul didn't make a Rock song, he did however cross to different genres other than trance and made it sound good nonetheless.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that it's the worst BT album, it's just different.

Good points Psygnosis. Yes, if I were to be bluntly honest: WHERE ARE ALL THE INSTRUMENTALS??? Even if I didn't like PvD (isn't Vega a rock band usually?) and BT, I'd have to admit they tried something new, risky, and were exploring the diverse spectrum of music. The crazy thing is ... if you keep doing the same thing, people will blame you. You try something new, people will blame you for that too. Crazy world huh.

But really, BT promises instrumentals on his 5th album. Which I, like all the others, look forward to. Ha ha ha.
