London & Such
Steven Neil,
I was actually looking for the steven neil advice thread, but this will have to do. I am desperately seeking your most coveted partying advice. I just received word of my acceptance for the 2004-2005 academic year at the London School of Economics. Based on your insight into popular British night life, is hopping the pond this September a wise decision? The party climate in NYC is really starting to heat up, and I can't for the life of me decide. Of course London has other fun things like the Queen, Harrods, and tea time; but LSE is going to be a lot of work. Would it be better to remain in New York? I've pretty much mastered the system here at Columbia, and I'm really not looking for a lot of new intellectual "challenges," more just craZy clubs, all night parties, and getting smashed around the UK. Any insight on "the scene," LSE, or London in general would be appreciated.
Humbly seeking your wisdom,
Jon
PS I don't like the food in London very much, has it gotten any better in the last 2 years?

Wow,,first of all congratulations...Youv'e gotta go..While the club scene in NYC is hot, and getting hotter, the scene in London is at ''melting point'''...Mate there are so many other reasons you should go aswell,,our education system is second to none,,,just think how your CV will look with LSE on the top of it..What country in this whole fucking world has got more history than us..We invented history..and if you get ill,,our country will make you all better for Jack Shit,,Jon if youre serious about this I'll meet you for a beer and convince you totally..Unfortunately I'm not to good at putting things into writing...More importantly Jon,,,I'm from there....When you drive out of Heathrow airport and get onto the motorway,,youll see a sign saying ''Steven Neil 15 Miles"'........
hit me up on PM and ill convince the ass off you.....

Mate I'm staying in Harlem with Jane and her father Russell...Russel was a professor at Cornell University in Ithaca New York...He has just told me that you would be a fucking mug if you didn't go to LSE,,,,he didn't quite put it like that but,,you know what I mean.....He also expressed how the standard of education in the UK is much higher,,,dont forget,,,these are his words not mine,,,,,( except for the fucking mug bit )......
