think of the burn in period as a massage therapy for your drivers...it loosens up the coils so they dont resist as much. hence all the frequencies come out more easily. theres a huge difference after about 40 hours.

i didnt know you had to do this with headphones I did it with my speakers, but ive had 3 pairs of headphones and they all work perfect on first use. my sony mdr7650's worked great when i got them.

i wasn't that satisfied with my headphones at first, but after playing them in they suddenly sounded like a dream. now they are perfect!


why put books between? why not just turn the cups facing out?

well i enjoy having headphones ON my head but when i was breaking them in, i had them up really loud for about 3 strait days. that gets annoying after a while : P
