I have always thought about this too, DC is known as a private P2P concept is it not? Can anyone confirm?

Ya sure, because I love paying $10 for a track on vinyl, a medium susceptable to heat, sunlight, scratches, and overall wear, not to mention the wear on needles and the inconvienence of trying to rip them all to my computer for easy listening. Btw don't even bring up CD's because the fact is, 98% of released tunes these days are not on CD, especially not what I listen to. Oh, and I just love to search the world over for those classic tracks you just wont find any more, but I guess I could just do without them, since I beleive in paying for the music and all. I also love driving an hour and a half (one way) to the nearest record shop whenever I feel like listening to some fresh, decent tunes. Nevermind that if I have my heart set on one particular track I heard the other day on the radio/friends house/club isn't in stock.

Oh well, I guess I just can't listen to music then. Since you have all the answers, why dont you create a solution? Create a download service with a wide selection of good EDM, no monthly fee, flat rate $99c a track in FULL QUALITY ogg or mp3 format (I mean the full monty, 416 ogg, 320 mp3), no DRM, no strings attached. Oh, and give me the option to download what I've already purchased it again free of charge should it be lost in a HD crash or something. Then, I'd gladly fork over cold, hard cash for all the tracks I need.

Btw before anyone says anything, I buy vinyl anyways, because I DJ. If I didn't , however, I wouldn't be buying it.

^That's a bunch of good arguments to me...

Got a warning half a year ago for a few episodes of Simpsons.

But shouldn't the thread be closed anyway?

They're legal. Swampy gets permissions from the appropriate people before posting them here.

You can't have a disclaimer stating forbidden access against the RIAA.
There is a standard disclaimer you find on various illegal internet spots that states you cannot access it if you are part of a Government agency under the commonly known name of the "internet act" officialy the "Digital Millennium Copyright Act" signed into law by Bill Clinton in 1998.

Because the RIAA is not a government agency but a privately operated industry group they are immune from such laws that prohibit government agencies from entering illegal internet premises with intent to sue and pursue without a warrant issued at beginning of investigation.
