They feel such a state doesn't deserve to be called Jewish. Unfortunately, racist Zionism has been adopted by the majority of Jews around the world.

Wrong
The bible has many interpertations, this is just one of them.
There are many other interpertations that prove otherwise, they just adapted that one as the Zionists adapted another.

When it fits your agenda, even a hardcore-atheist like you starts defending word-to-word interpretations of the bible. Simply hilarious

Well if the Zionists adapted the interpretation that ended in blood shed (on both sides), massacres, and the flight of 700,000 refugees (with people still dying today) then that interpretation is sorely mistaken and if you can't realize that then God help you.

Zionist idialism was first adapted in the early years of the imigration to Israel, the meaning of Zionism is to settle in the land which holds the holy lands and holy places to the Jewish people.
The Western Wall, our ancesters graves, Beit Hamikdash...
Zionism is not a religion, its a way of life.
And Zionism is not a group of people that decided to make the lives of the Palestinians miserable, even if you think so.

I wondered about this a few years ago when I started reading a lot of columns/papers from Israel. Here was the answer that I found:

quote:
It has to do with the commandment about taking G-d's name in vain. It is believed that if the name was written on a piece of paper and the paper was crumpled, discarded, or destroyed it would be considered a sin.

I know Zionism is not a religion, it's an ideology. At its extreme, Zionism assumes that Palestine is a "land without a people, for a people without a land" which is racist because Palestine had a people. Zionism also thrives on a Jewish majority and can't exist without it. That's why Israel won't allow the Palestinian refugees their right to return to the land they fled from in Israel. That's why the Palestinian population growth is the biggest threat to Israel. That's why a one, binational, democratic, and secular state is unacceptable to Israelis. It would "destroy" Israel, but not in the sense that Palestinians would go on a murderous rampage hahaha, that's a load of garbage that's being spread about us, which is also extremely racist. But because of our numbers and our right to vote--if Israel is truly a democracy, this would be its test.

Wasn't Yassin one of those radical Moslim leaders? Seems his death was fitting so don't know what the big stink is about. Live by the sword and die by the sword.
