we are underrated, not overrated IMO, lets see how we do against Turkey who are ranked #9 in the world. I reckon we will beat them if we have our top squad.

What is that supposed to mean?

I think Emerton is a bit overrated as well.....my brother absolutely loves him.

a few good results in there, but to put them in some perspective, france couldn't beat anyone at the world cup, and brazil came back to win 6-0 in the confederation cup.
We'll never get a good measure of the true standard until oceania get there acts together and merge with another region (preferably asia) so there's regular international matches of a good standard. One-off games where there will always be problems getting all the players and the odd qualifier with cricket scores don't mean a lot.

as for emerton i'd have to agree he's overrated at this level. every time he plays for australia he seems to play like a school boy with solo runs and stupid little flick passes.

ahahahah i dont think were anywhere near that, but like webmeister said we are no way in the world overrated, and calling emerton overrated lol. I guess each to their own. Look beyond the player webbie, and look at the system farina is playing, im telling ya farina is the weakest link!

We arent a top 10 team but the fact we have done well against top teams shows we are a good side

Emerton is highly rated in the premier league, he doesnt seem to live up to that when he plays for Australia but I dont think he is a weak link at all. I reckon our central midfield has been our weakness in the past.
