Get the techs, nothing else about the TTX1s makes enough of a difference to make up for the digital pitch adjust.

cd players don't have analog pitch adjust... But I can keep songs beatmatched with no problem... I don't even use the .02% pitch ranges on my Denons and I have no problem keeping a song matched...
Hell I used to match songs on crappy ass gemini CD players and never had a problem with them either...

My friend has the ttx's and the pitch adjustment on them is fine. I use his tables all the time and I've noticed nothing better about my technics. You really can't go wrong either way.

i used to own a pair of techs before i switched to the TTX1s. IMO the TTX1s feel a whole lot better to mix on than the 1200s. The main drawback is that if u start DJin out and the clubs u play in use techs you will find urself very akward usin their setup because u've become accostumed to using a turntable with such high torque.

both a great tables. you won't go wrong with either

i'd recomend going to guitar center or some place where you can try them out and see which one you like more.

the good thing about technics is that they are the standered. if you play out anywhere you are almost guarenteed to be playing on technics.

if you really can't decide get a ttx1 and a technic.

Definately go with Technics, you absolutely will not regret it.

I was posting the exact same thing that you are on this forum a little over a year ago, and I decided to go with everyone's advice to buy Techs. You'll know you made the right decision as soon as you start unpacking them from the boxes.

About the only other deck I've seen lately that really caught my interest are the newish Stanton ST-150s.

A bit of advice on the TTX: I've had it a month now and have never used any of the digital features on it. I absolutely love the feel of the table though and I guess I like the idea that if I want to use key-lock and super-pitch adjust, I have that option. My other table is a Numark TT500, which is basically a TTX without the digital stuff but, it still has the high-torque direct drive motor. One other thing I like about the TTX is that it comes with a neoprene slipmat. Man I love the feel of that slipmat! I mixed with the felt one on my TT500 roughly ONCE before I gave it the boot and ordered a pair of neoprenes from Numark.

I had my first chance to play around a bit with a TTX at the vinyl shop yesterday, didn't like it at all.

One thing I found really goofy about the LCD display - why exactly do you need to see your pitch percentage, and how on earth is a BPM counter that doesn't show fractions remotely useful? (Aside from BPM counters generally being bad to use period...).

Are you kidding me? I thought the neoprene ones were horrible to mix with . . . I bought some new ones right after I got my TT200s. They dont slip, at all . I would have given you mine . . .
