| quote: | | I think most of the elitist type attitude that comes up around here is because for those of us that are really into the music, we hate having to go enjoy it at venues that maybe aren't as well produced as they could be and where everyone else isn't there for the same reasons etc. |

I can certainly appreciate and respect those comments, mikefassy. I feel the same way as you do in many respects. In fact, it is for those very reasons that I've never ventured much into the electronic music scene in Vancouver. I've heard too many things about the Plaza of Nations in regard to poor acoustics and poor production.
You are also bang on about people who have no respect or interest in the music. There is something about a crowd who is really into the music that creates such an amazing vibe that you can feel the energy.
One of the most amazing moments of my life was the night I went to see DJ Preach. I have always listened to trance music at home and never in an outside venue. I was sitting at the back of the dancefloor looking into the laser lights and listening to Sean's set, and it was an overwhelming moment of euphoria and excitement for me to realise that there actually were other people in Vancouver who loved and listened to this music. All I could do was look at my buddy and saw "wow....wow....this stuff IS real"
