numark 9's

hey dj tranz, hav u mixed with the numark axis 9's, i know u suggested the denon 3000, of which is still an option, but i only want to dj for fun, in my bedroom and at mates parties. could u explain in simple terms what the 2 seamless loops will do, 3 hot stutter starts, 3000 cue points in memory and other jargon. Also whats the honest feedback on the 9's reading cdr's that are burned at fast speeds, i only ask because all my music is burned at 16 speed. thanks jason.

I burned my cd's at X48 and it works fine...its a good cd player ... really good for its price - don't be afraid getting some crappy poo cd player...
sorry that I just don't know how to explain you how the sameless loop works but I'm sure there's other people on this board who got the axis9 and can explain ...

Cheers,

/m0sh

Hi!

I've got the Axis 9-CR (for € 526 each) and they are great! The hotstarts are just like 3 cuepoints. The loop-function works very good. This is because it works with the beatkeeper: todays best bpm counter on the market on cd-players. It plays cd-rs at 16x speed, but I'll advise you not to do that: above 4x spreed, the recorder will make mistakes in your cd! (and you don't hear that).

I don't know man .. I have two DN-S3000s and absolutely love em. They look and feel professional. I looked and played with an Axis 9 at a local store and it totally felt like a cheese plastic toy (sorry guys -- not trying to be mean to those of you who have axis9s). You get what you pay for .. In a low to mid $300 range, I guess X9 is your best bet. If I were you, I’d save a little more and spend $550 for DN-S3000 but that’s just me
