I'm mod of the tracklist forum, I normally allow a ton of stuff but I've been after some people for months now because the tracklist forum is not for promotion, it's fucking tracklists. So let me make this very, very clear to you and tell whoever posts that crap to watch out the same, next time someone fucks up, automatic suspension. I'm not being mean, I'm just sick and tired of this bullshit. Look you can post the links to the streams, the website addresses and the tracklists but I ever see a dj bios like I saw today, I'm making the thread automatically vanish. See I understand people want to promote there shit, do it in the music discussion forum (all of that is legit there but not the tracklist forums). So don't give me this preamble in the threads about last month was great and this month is even better...i don't give a shit about that.....i don't even give a shit about the dj bios....it's not my concern....now if someone asks a question in the thread about a dj....by all means....answer it but in the first post....it's wrong and over the top. I'm trying to keep the field level for EVERYBODY and since I've done this with others, I'm doing it with you. So tell your trancesphere buddies.....seems when I pmed TS_CREW..they did not listen. Post the full thing in the MD, post the tracklist, the irc channel stuff and the links in the tracklist forum but watch that you don't go over the top with promotion or I'm going to kick ass and take names. if the admin is so pissed about it being in the wrong forum cant he just move it instead of being such a penis?

The problem I have is that the mods in one forum are not the same in this all the time, so that's why the PM is so important, pm any of the mods listed for the forum you have a problem, everybody realises you're supporting ppl from the boards, but even so if you break a rule you have to live by it, if you didn't then as I say, pm whoever shuts it or the necessary ones from that forum.

And to the people who say the mods are anal or whatever, it looks like you're either new here or don't post often, maybe think before you disregard them all with the same brush, some of them have been here for 3-4 years and do a damn fine job

Torontotrance will come and read all your opinions.
No idea why you all are so agressive, but at least respect the forum veterans and admins - they also work hard to make thousands of users see this board every day without technical bugs and useless posts like "where do i download full albums" or "listen to my mix".
Just post into the right forums, read the forum index first...
And the forum rules... they are really simple.

it's kinda lame how the topic got locked. why not just say he wont allow Bio's in the tracklist forum? and then just edit the post.
like it is now, it's impossible to even make a reply to comments on the sets anymore..

and must say i agree that it's kinda a backstab on our own users since it's promotion for them!! and we can't be forced down by our own rules imo, tho i can see the point about the bio part in the T/L forums.

but if tortured gets banned for this.. thats just stupid and meaningless.

i see your point, i really do - and your right, tranceaddict has its own rules and they are entitled to those. if i dont like them, i dont have to participate as a member of this forum, and i totally agree with you in that respect. however i cant justify mods being on steriods and saying things like "watch that you don't go over the top with promotion or I'm going to kick ass and take names. as far as promotion goes, i understand now to promote in MD and post sets in TL; TygerClaw of all people explained it to me best. Lo Ciento Amigos, but seriously, stay out of mexico and off the 'roids, its only an internet forum physical violence cant be transferred over PMs

First of all you might want to consider that this is just a fucking internet forum. If you have a problem with a decision of a moderator, PM him/her or PM the administrator.

I do understand your disappointment and I know you put a lot of effort into this event, but if a moderator closes a thread you should respect that.

As a moderator you can do a great job for years and you don't even notice, because the forum works and you don't realise that there's somebody working behind the scenes, and then you close a thread and all of a sudden people say that you're anal and somebody who registered last week tells you how to do your job.

You can post a thread for your event in the DJ promotion forum and a thread for the sets in the Tracklist forum, but any information regarding downloads etc. and reviews should be posted in the DJ promotion forum. The Tracklist forum is not supposed to be used for promotional purposes.

And that's about it, there's no need to make a big fuss over it. A moderator is here make the forum run smoothly, not to clean up your mess.

i still dont agree with the rules, but i know i was wrong in not following them. i still think this situation could have been handled better imo.
