fair enough point. i haven't seen it so i can't make a judgement on how cut to pieces the song was. i'd imagine i would be disappointed in how MTV made it fit in their three minute time slots.

i guess i'm just an optimist. maybe people will find it catchy and explore the genre more.

The Radio Cut is not *that* bad - it's just not the same as the g&d sweeping strings mix... and the video is quite disappointing by the way. it's a standard dancer-singing-and-dancing-with-background-dancers video...

Now that you mention it... visuals do influence what one hears, after all...

sure it does, but i don't see what's the point of actually seeing atrc on mtv. if you watch long enough you will also see tiesto or pvd, but that does not make them any worse.

I've actually heard the track played at strip clubs as strippers' dance music. Believe me, you won't be calling it cheese when you hear it being played while a pair of perfectly implanted Cs are jiggling in front of you .

Wait...what's that I just heard...oh yeah that's right! Paul van Dyk - We Are Alive on VH1, DJ Tiesto - Urban Train on MTV and Nickelodeon (Yes, it was even on Nickelodeon), Sasha - Magnetic North on CSI. The list goes on...

I'm not really seeing a point in these threads anymore. Urban Train and Magnetic North are both excellent tunes and they're not viewed as cheesy. If there is anyone who views "Magnetic North" as cheesy then they've clearly got something wrong with them.
