All started in 1994 with the Real McCoy (the tta left grunge at that point, my hair was still long back then).
Oh my the eurodance journey, le click, la bouche, culture beat, dr.alban (still got most of them CDs today)
about 1997-1998 euro tranked
I found myself listening to jungle (andy c, nicky blackmarket, kenny ken, aphrodite).
about 1999, i heard xpander and went mad to trance
still got the jungle vibe tho
2001 went into prog a bit before it went to prog deadland or as I call the point of no return (example class..2002 parks and wilson EM..prog deadland). Still listen to some prog
Techno, Trance and house really till 2003
2003 was the year I realized the truth
avb was shit, tiesto was shit and Pvd was a wanker
crossed into chillout, ambient and downtempo and breaks (started in 2002 with buying gu023).
so that's the journey
I review all types of music, so I listen to all types of music. Normally these days it is what the labels send me and it could be anything. I'm listening to this funky ass hatiras CD. When I have time to listen to what i want, it is usually hard techno (not quite like skipper...she likes that italian stuff...me no like...birmingham techno all the way....see the djregisfeb2004 mix for that). Dave Clarke EM this weekend....just dirty. That plus funky house, breaks and trance (usually the old 1999 stuff these days or JooF or Christopher Lawrence). Who knows what to listen to, I listen to what my mood feels.

Synthpop - New Order, Depeche Mode, OMD, PSB etc etc.
New Age - Enigma, Delerium
I listened to all sorts of music in the 90s except for country (mostly alternative). But what got me into dance were those 2 genres above (geez I feel old). Couldn't really stand the stuff they played on Electric Circus. Really preferred the hard edge industrial stuff in the 90s like early NIN and PWEI. Then came Underworld, Chem Bros, Prodigy in the mid-90s. Wasn't really into it but I would always turn up the volume everytime I heard Born Slippy or Smack My Bitch.
I was just looking for something different through internet radio last year (was getting really sick of radio) and lo and behold I discovered trance. Loved it right away cuzz it's sorta like new age music but with attitude. Most of this trance stuff is still new to me so I'm really enjoying it.
