It sounds too much like Chicane - Don't Give Up, which makes me think it was a remix that was not accepted (considering it was re-released with some new remixes a month or two ago).
I've not heard Perry's mix, but if you say it's awesome then why give it 7/10? 7/10 to me is just an above average track, definitely not in the "awesome" range.
