The Amp is defintely NOT a trance club. The Amp is good for their visual show on stage and sometimes they have decent music, but for the most part it is the same thing every weekend. People go there for everything but to hear trance music. That is a breakbeat club with a little bit of trance music here and there. Commercial trance that is...the kind that all of us would recognize. There is no such thing as a trance club here in Tampa. I should know because I would be there. The club scene used to go off...not anymore. There is a small trance scene still around but this town is nothing like what it used to be and it never will be. Too bad this damn town is too afraid to do a full blown trance night at any club. Too bad people here are stuck in a time warp and can't accept the fact that my best friend spins trance and has been for years now. Too bad the club owners and promoters don't have the balls to bring in big names like Tiesto, Ferry, PvD, or Armin. They think they are bringing in big names when they book local/FL breakbeat DJ's (no names mentioned of course) and once in a blue moon bring in a trance DJ from here in FL. Too bad I have to drive to Miami to hear good music and see my favorite international DJ's. Thank God for things like Ultra. |
forreall?? i think the amp is electronica type. they play it on the radio sat. nights, the house night.
i fu*king hate how im the only one i know addicted to trance... theres nobody i know, i can chill with, go out with, who listens to trance. its all about reaggueton, and hip hop, there not that bad, but its not my scene.
