if you hit a bump the momentum flips them over.

and those that have cried neglegence should realize that you dont have your eye on your child 24/7. It's in that split second that a freak accident can happen.

once we saw the walker was dangerous we got rid of it. that "baby bouncer" is an ideal substitute (the one where the baby is in bungie cords).

Of course a bouncing baby is going to cause some ruckus, thats why they need supervision. you can say that baby bouncer is unsafe too. what if the kid jumps and jumps so hard that it flips over in the cords and gets tangled around the neck. And dont say it cant happen, cuz it can! ive seen my nephew jumping wildly in it and almost got tangled up in it. But since my sister in law was standing right there, she prevented it by stopping him from jumping too hard. And kids at that age should have supervision 24/7 BECAUSE they are so fragile!

I don't think they should be banned though, they should just focus on improving the design.

My sister bought one a little while back. The base on this thing is huge. its probably .75 meter in width. I cant see this particular design tipping over. Still the danger of going down the stairs.

I agree with that. Parents are getting all these new fun activity things for kids that they may think it will make parenting easier they often forget to read something I noticed people have a huge problem with; READING THE INSTRUCTIONS. In each of them it says never to leave the child unattended. People should not have children if they are not going to be there for the chld all the time. A Child is a repsonsibility that takes up 100% of your life until he/she moves out.

Anyhow back to baby walkers. I don't liek them either and I thought they have already been banned since the mid 90s?????
