I still don't see what's wrong with sending stuff by regular Canada Post/Xpresspost? Or by USPS from the States? You get the same service, same shipping cost, and extremely low brokerage fees (IF ANY)!!
if it ain't broke...

Hah. Brokerage fees (and every other random fee they tack onto your bill) are a bitch.

I got the same once from a UPS package. My friend stupidly put a value of $200 on an item I'd bought in NY but wanted shipped home. I ended up paying $45 in taxes, and another $45 in 'handling fees'. I mean, isn't the cost of shipping already a 'handling fee'???? I had some words for them, but what can u do? No payment, no package.
Moral of the story: always put "GIFT" or N.C.V. (no commercial value) when ever u can.

USPS to canada gets lost a lot more than UPS and Fedex and you can't track it, so if it's lost too bad..

You can't track it? Are you sure, 100% positive on that?

Well, then don't go with regular... go with priority, registered, or whatever other ones are available - it's just like CanadaPost...
