1. Shpongle - Tales of the Inexpressible
Everything in this cd has its place. It is a complete journey. Incredible in every aspect. Only with psychedelics can this CD be fully appreciated; then you will see that it is not 9 songs, but one huge journey with a little flute epologue at the end.
2. Radiohead - OK Computer
One of my friends, a huge Radiohead fan, described it best: This CD is for your heart.
3. Radiohead - Kid A
This CD is for your brain.
4. Sigur Ros - ()
Strange and beautiful. The singer sings in "hopelandic", which is pretty much gibberish, but it is not a gimmick CD. You have to listen to it. The CD is divided into two parts, and keeps getting better. My favorite song is the last, but each has its own merits.
5. Hallucinogen - The Lone Deranger
Almost perfect. The Jiggle of the Sphinx is the only weak track on this killer cd.
Honerable Mention
The Cranberries - No Need To Argue
When I need music to simply listen to rather than contemplate.

The father made fetuses with flesh licking ladies / While you and your mother were asleep in the trailer park / Thunderous sparks from the dark of the stadiums / The music and medicine you needed for comforting / So make all your fat, fleshy fingers fingers to moving / And pluck all your silly strings and / Bend all your notes for me and / Soft silly music is meaningful, magical / The movements were beautiful / All in your ovaries / All of them milking with green fleshy flowers / While powerful pistons were sugary sweet machines, / Smelling of semen all under the garden / Was all you were needing when you still believed in me.
