It's Hawerchuk and Cicarelli. But anyway, I agree. Nothing wrong with scoring goals by being in the right spot (the front of the net) at the right time (when the puck comes to you). How does this happen? Guys like Iginla and Conroy throw the puck on net and good things happen. There are no ugly OT goals, just good decisions. Put the puck on net and eventually the bounces go your way. Great to see Calgary advance, it was an intense game. I'm afraid I've little sympathy for Wings fans, you guys have had your share of playoff success.

Derian Hatcher sucks, he's the slowest goon in the league and has absolutely no talent handling the puck. He should've got a major for that elbow in the first period ( on Lombardi?). BTW He's also a pussy, ever see him get picked by a guy his own size (Georges Laraque...).

The only guy in Detroit I feel bad for is Stevie Y.

his main goal was to intimidate, and thats what he did right from the start. That elbow should have gotten him 5 mins, it was brutal.

but it was an all around dirty game, both teams got away with a lot of crap.

Too bad the Czechs beat Canada into submission
Thier team is insanely stacked though - Jagr, Rucinsky, Havlat, Straka, Voukoun, Slegr, Hamrlik, Beranek etc etc

notice something tho

all cherry picking pansies with no grit. It that why in that lineup, you have a guy with 2 stanley cup and that's it and he won it with MARIO, who led the team those years. See europeans always show up when the games don't matter and the czech national team will get beat again if they play Canada and if not...wait till the world cup in september when we actually field our strongest lineup. Funny how the czechs think it is great but most of their players are out because they failed to show up for the playoffs and the teams still in it are led by you guessed it Canadians with grit. It that why Jagr was voted most overpaid player next to another fellow czech who has a poor work ethic named dominik hasek.

back to the topic @ hand
CALGARY!!!
YEA BABY!

I dont think it was that ugly of a goal. Not nearly as bad as the one that put Mtl out
3rd rebound goes in.
yessss....
while detroit was the favorite coming into this series, I think it would be hard to say that Calgary didnt consitantly outplay Detroit, which is very impressive for a bunch of 24 year olds.
kippie RULES
2 shutouts in a row.
4 in 21 starts
the guy deserves the vezina, and if the flames make it to the Finals, he should get the MVP even if they lose.
