There's a hell of a problem in the area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean.
It's tacitly known the Arabs want the destruction of the Israeli state, but lack the military force to accomplish this feat. The only real weapon the Palestinians have that can accomplish this is the eventual overtaking of the Jewish population in this area by their own, which I’ve heard should take place within a generation’s time. Once this is done the Palestinians can change their ethnic-national struggle to a struggle of equal human suffrage. Once that happens the romantic hopes the Jews have of keeping their Israel a Jewish state will be thrown out the window. The bad thing is that the Palestinian Authority knows this and has made idle promises to crackdown on terrorism in its effort to slow down the peace process and destroy the Israeli hope of cementing its territorial future.
The Jews know to well that this is the truth and have been more earnestly and aggressively separating themselves physically from the Arabs and considering unilaterally declaring their own state. So, while time still remains their ally they are speeding up the demolition of Palestinian settlements and creating a divisive infrastructure (ie: the “Apartheid Wall”).
From my view neither party in this real life drama is the innocent. They know exactly what the other is doing or intends to do and as a result leads to the suicide bombings and forceful displacements we read or hear about everyday.
There seems to be no solution to this conflict and, short of waking up tomorrow with no religion in existence, I don’t see one.
