i think when i'm older i probably won't be out hitting the clubs and stuff, but i'll still enjoy the music. perhaps the softer side like Ulrich Schnauss hehehe...but then i enjoy that now too..

Cool

I was talking to some of my ex-raver friends and they said that they feel the EDM scene is for kids and that they feel they've matured and moved on. This made me angry because it tells me that for them it was just a phase that characterized adolescence. I've seen many older people at the events I've gone to in L.A. and everbody accepts them. In fact I make it a point to smile at them and sometimes even talk to them because I am so impressed that an older generation can give us credit for the new culture we've developed, it's almost like a recognition. If I were you, I would try hard to convince my friend because unless he tries to hit on a girl half his age (which might work if she's wasted enough) I doubt anyone will treat him any different. This is just coming from my own experience.

My mother loves to listen to my Ulrich Schnauss CDs, heck she even made me email ulrich with a question that turned into a brief news item. Go MOM!, seriously she wondered who was judith and are they still together, you know mothers. So judith's vocals SHOULD be on the new album btw, more updates when I decide to do more updates with ulrich...it will be called what's new with ulrich (every few months) and you can read about it on the usual place.

I don't think anything is too old, heck my parents tell me, if the song is good, who cares how old it is. My dad used to always say, you still listen to classical and that is 100's of yrs old.

I listen to edm from the mid 80's, I think if it is good, it stands the test of time. I can see me digging xpander in 20 yrs and telling my kids....I lost my mind to that track in the early 2000's

I wouldn't really enjoy seeing old people at a club that i'm in just cause i think that they should be parents and maybe they've got some other things to worry about than goto raves or whatnot. I like the atmosphere of people about my own age.

This is just my opinion, which is what you asked for.

But i can still see how some people are cool with it.

Satan (eek!)

Clubs are definitely about the young'uns. That doesn't mean that the music isn't universal...
Old people just wouldn't "fit the scene".

The point is...if it's about the music...no limit.
If its about clubbing... grow up 38-year-olds!! Ain't there a bingo hall open for you?

How old is too old to listen to Trance or EDM?

NEVER!

Music shouldn't have age limits. Sure it may be weird to see a 60 years old granny groovin to some trance, but hey, more power to her!
