We as DJs have been given the gift of VU (volume unit) meters on each channel of the mixer, so when you cue up a track, match it's peak VU reading to the other, such as 2 yellows or only 1 yellow or 1 red. BUT NEVER MAX OUT THE VU METER! YOU WILL CLIP AND DISTORT THE SOUND!. |
i thought vu meters where the needle type of meters where the LeD meters measure peaks of tracks...also on the pressing theory...how would that account for tracks being louder on cd then?
when i say louder i mean when it shows the same reading as another track on the led meter but noticably louder when u hear it....that is also what i'm talking about in my post further up
