Trust me guys moving out is one of the best experiences you can have (ive been living out of home for 4 years now!).......

However, once you move out of home your chances of saving ANY money are ZERO!! If you plan on trying to save for going overseas etc, stay at home because there ARE always hidden little costs that make trying to save almost impossible...

yeh i guess my main motivation in moving out is to fulfill a certain sense of adventure. i mean, i live at home at the moment with no expenses, spending far too much money on vinyl and "goin out" then finding im not quite satisfied. i couldn't save money if my life depended on it, this way at least i got something to show for it. i think i need this and if it doesnt work out i'll just come back to my loving asian family... and their communist ways.

my tip for a shared house - until you know whether you can trust the other housemates, always keep you own spare roll of toilet paper somewhere.
and my tip for saving money - go to one of those chinese buffet takeaways, fill up your container with meat, go home and cook your own rice. Got me through uni. though at 38 you shouldn't have to resort to this sort of scrounging.

Ahh, leaving the nest...fun fun fun

My main tip is, don't buy any major pieces of furniture - make sure the ppl u move in with already have stuff....cos, I found that's what irritated me most when I lived outta home - buying a whole bunch of furniture, then getting the shits seeing it not being treated respectfully by housemates or housemates friends....sooo, if u want nice furniture, either wait til u have a place of ur own, or make ur housemates buy it *lol* I hate to say it, but I realised how right my mother was on that front - when I was young and treated her furniture like crap, she'd always say "just u wait and see how u like it when u fork out money for stuff and ppl don't treat it nicely!!"....damn mothers always being right *lol*

I lived outta home for 4 years....there was a whole lotta good about it, and some not so good - but it's well worth it - really forces u to grow up and be independent But I moved back home a year ago, to save money for Europe....and I have to say, if u get along great with family, living at home beats the shit outta bein out on ur own...hehehe

Oh, other major tip - never live with ppl whose friendship u don't wanna lose....cos soooo much can screw up friendships when ur living together

living at home for me has its up n downs, sometimes it sucks whent he olds are at my case, other times they just let me be.

But the main reason for moving out is im sick of wasting 2.5hours a day travelling! and then on weekends again to go out somewhere decent

I was gonna say...you have a very nice complexion for a 38 year old.

If this move means you have to control your spending on vinyl i'm against it 100%
