wow very diff. bassline than the original, the best melody i heard in a while @ 5 minutes, the bassline + the melody of the synth and the pads together at that part is incredible, but u gotta work on that kick and bass its too quiet

good work
i love the change, peace out

*not trying to bump my own thread*

hey guys... thanks for all the feedback... Glad you liked the pads... I just wanted to do something that was dark yet uplifting and hopefully i somehow accomplished that...

As for the kick and the bass, I understand that it is quite weak because I spent most of my time on the pads and percs but I kinda just quickly did the bass and kick because I had to leave to go back home to Vancouver soon (which I am in right now)

Also, originally, I had my friend say "frenzy" and I used a vocoder to warp it up but eventually I ended up ditching that because I thought it sounded wierd.

Thanks to DJprototypex, Jay M, Sunquest, Thunder5, and Haak for letting me remix his awesome tune

Kewlness, at what frequency are you high-passing the pads? Just wondering because if it isn't high enough it can detract greatly from the kick and bass. Otherwise excellent.

I'm using crappy speakers at the moment but i'll try my best.

Pads aren't very warm? I don't feel the bass drum, I wanna feel it humming but it just doesnt. Open Hat too quiet maybe? Nice filter on the whole song 2:40. The tweeting synth is a bit annoying and so is other synth which comes in after it. Don't really like the melody it plays or the sound of it. Good mix despite this. Nice build-up after this, with the pads creating a nice atmosphere and the filtering synth. But then it filters up to reveal itself as that rather poor synth sound again. =( Can't really hear any of your drums enough. Hats, Clap and Bass Drum all too quiet. Again, that synth isn't the best. Overall I think if you work on this song some more, it could be very good.
