You can also place Varela, Beyer, Sims, Mills, Hawtin, Carola besides Umek and Clarke

+ Everybody likes Rush...he's so cool, especially when he sings sometimes

rush is just over the top 'bosh techno' as someone has said. too fast and too bassy. not a patch on the more electo tinged, dirty shit of sven vath...or mr ben sims who also fuckin rocks.

The main problem with schranz is that it's just too distorted. It fucks up a lot of the good things that can be done with it. When u listen to Robert Natus' "hardcore salsa" for example, now that's extremely fast bangin techno with a cool touch.

u can hear it in the banner @ http://www.planetnatus.com ... starts playin automatically

i'm going to push the boat out here and say that picotto is better than him as well

What the fuck is up with his mixing in that mothership set, it's appauling.

Having said that he is the original hard techno dj. all these muppets like sven wittekind etc are just trying to breakthru to the mass hardstyle market in the netherlands etc. It's completely thoughtless music!!

that's a cheap thought imo. That's the same like saying cheap muppets like schulz are trying to break through to the mass trance wannabe prog market & all... it's just another style, nothing more, nothing less

imo

With the subtle difference that artists like Robert Natus spit out a new 4-track EP every other week or so.. If they would put more effort in creating good tracks, rather than just repeating the same loops over a crazy-as-hell distorted bass again and again, it might get a little more interesting (but it'd still be too hard for my liking I think)..

Having said that, I must confess one of my favourite tracks of last year was produced by Robert Natus Wegbeschreibung (on Patters Special 1.5) is awesome! Totally different from his usual productions though

IMO you are blind to what these guys are doing then. They make shite music which will appeal to kid on techno fans and hard style fans, hence the reason people like lady dana are playing their records. They have seen a market and are trying to exploit it for all it's worth, their music is terrible.

But I suppose it's all a matter of taste

BTW Dj Rush - Live @ I Love Techno 2003, is a good set.

Get ur head outta your ass, will ya

It's just another style of techno, maybe u don't like it, but it's cheap to say its kiddy techno & stuff.
I do appreciate good tribal techo, cox thingies, clarke thingies,... but i like the harder stuff too. Especially for huge parties with lots of strobes & lasers & stuff. Just gets ya going pretty hard. And yeah, what's wrong with seing a market & going for it. That's what life's all about: a struggle for fun/fame/pleasure/money.

Ur not telling me they don't feel anything for that kinda music theirselves, because otherwise u don't get so big in it.

But oh well, i guess you're right and thousands of fans are wrong
Ur kinda music is the best

I never said it was wrong I merely pointed out the fact it's shite and that techno is about a lot more than distorted beats at 190 bpm.

It's garbage!! thats all i'm saying!!
