Winamp ... no llamas... rulez...

Pushes the built in motherboard chip with no audio card with np. Of course, 400W speaker system helps because you can't bear more than about 100W worth of power anyhow.... Real simple math, either spend the $ on power or quality. Good quality lacking volume doesn't cut it for me - I'm hard of hearing as it is...

how the hell could you use winamp 3 or later.

Nullsoft have destroyed winamp.

2.73 all the way

especially when it comes to speed. you used to be ably to just double-click the add button on the playlist window and then it opened up the "open" window.

Anything above 2.x and they have shifted it down one space. wtf! I mean, seriously, shifting one space down... were they intentionally trying to piss people off, or were they just too stupid to realise that beforehand you only had to double-click in the one spot?

@ 3.x

i tried winamp 3, hated it.

But winamp 5 is the real deal. Never locks, great playlist features, easy to access... especially if you have the right skin.

I'm using Winamp 5 as well. Believe they worked the Winamp 3 bugs out. Agree that 2.73 was way to go before, but not now.

Getfoul? Is that Brad Pitt from 12 Monkeys on your av?

Anyway, I use QT for my pirated movies and iTunes for my pirated music.

Media Player. If all you're doing is listening to music then why bother installing more stuff on your HDD?
