Wow, what an amazing response, thanks so much! Too bad next week is only 4 days!

I should have asked this question weeks ago. One more question - what is considered "expensive"? I know here in Toronto the most expensive restaurants can be around $40+ for a main course alone, and that's a little out of my budget frankly!

John_H2O, Toqué is spell like this : Toqué and not Toke and it's no more on St-Denis.
As for Leblanc steaks, it's far too be the best. As for Angus AAA, that dosen't mean it's good. It has to come from USA and be USDA Prime beef dry aged for sure. There is no really good steak house in Montreal. United States offer way better Steak house. There is even no steakhouse in Montreal that offer beef from Wagyu cattle wich is not normal.

La Chronique, I have been disapointed my 2 times there. And the decor of the place is not my type.

The best restaurant in town is Cube : www.restaurantcube.com

If you are looking for fish or seafood, Milos is the best.

Best wine selection: Bistro à Champlain

It's easy to go more than 40$ for the main course in Steak House, a 3-4 pounds lobster will cost you over 150$ at Queue de Cheval.

I think 40-45$ is about the maximum price you can pay in Montréal for a main course normally in the best restaurants. Toronto restaurants are not more expensive than here in Montreal and are not better also.

i suggest Entrecote Saint-Jean , it's a french restaurant and they propose only one typical menu : entrée with a soup , then a salad , then steack-frites , then a dessert

it won't cost you more than 40 bucks (tip drinks and taxes included) , the fries are out of this world , and the sauce that comes with the steack is great too , i highly suggest it

it's near Maisonneuve and Peel , i'm not too sure

Thanks, but we do have Subway here in Toronto too! Anyway, it's not me paying so there's no need to be cheap...
