Alright here is a question, if the liberals are out, who comes in (lets forget about a minority government and only focus at a majority)
Would you rather have a Tory Government? This party stands to make this country into another American state and widen the gap between rich and the poor. They support a two tier health care system, they support lowering taxes, and I know you might think this is good BUT it means less public facilities and more PRIVATE owned and run institutions. I know many of us are in University, so let’s look at the University system. Tuition costs in Ontario have increased by 70 percent since 1995, taking inflation into account. In 1998, tuition fees for professional programs, such as medicine, law, and computer animation, were deregulated. This has resulted in increases of 300 to 700 percent.
So what do you think this government would do to all other programs?
NDP? Well I support the NDP fully because they not only have the interest of the people at heart but also the environment. I know they will not have a majority Government until over half of Canadians have health problems resulting from pollution. I also believe that the NDP, even though they spend like drunken sailor and that taxes will have to go up, that this is the best party for Canada and every Province. They put money where it matters, like health care, education, environment and social programs. They do not favor the Private sector. Therefore NDP is the best candidate.
Green Party? Well I think they will be a threat in 50-70 years when our society will be more conscious of the environment. Until then we will just hear about them.
So what do I predict? I predict and Liberal Minority Government. I myself will vote liberal, because I would rather see another Liberal Government have more power then the Tories because NDP has no chance in my riding.<<<<
I would like to hear what you have to say to this Question. If not a Liberal government, then who and why?

Federal funding for health care is lower today than it was in 1994. Even with recent increases, the federal share of health care will have dropped from 50 per cent to 13 per cent. The result? No cash, no clout! Funding cuts have hurt the government's ability to enforce national standards.
National standards are weaker today than they were when the Liberals took office, and federal enforcement of the Canada Health Act is so weak, the Auditor General says they can no longer tell which provinces comply.
The cost of patented drugs rose 27 per cent last year, and today, drugs cost more than doctors, but there's no national pharmacare plan. And families need help to care for loved ones at home, but there's no national homecare plan.

Now to understand these Results we must look at 2 things;
1) this was all done under a Liberal Government.
2) these numbers would be worse if the Tories would be in Power
Yes the Liberals are bad, but the Tories are worse and until NDP support rises, Liberals are my vote.

Actually, the sun says
They certainly don't endorse the war here, and are quite correct that the manner Art Eggleton as well as some other MPs grandstanded and slagged the US and Bush(although I agreed with the assessments) are certainly not the way to manage your country's affairs. This cost Canada badly come Mad Cow and SARS. Ever wonder why they shut our beef out within a day, and no political rapport over the issue, which cost our economy billions. When I was in Detroit for DEMF, CNN had Toronto and SARS scrolling around the bottom every 43 seconds..as well as Mad Cow right behind it. |
