76% of people on this message board yes... not 76% of the Ontario population.. that's probably one of the reasons they won't change it... the government doesn't always go against what the public wants you know

yes and most people arent even up past 10pm here anyways yet theyd probably all vote NO. This is what i dont understand. It would be nice if everyone here took the social conservatism pickle out of their asses. Again, we are either a socially progressive country or we are not. We cant be half assed

There should be no last call, leave it up to the establishment to decide when they're going to stop. Some will close as usual, others will not. I went out in Sydney once, Friday night, the bar closed at 1AM, I simply found somewhere else to go and was still ordering pints at 6:00AM. The 2AM cut off makes people go out and binge drink and then they have to leave, I think they'd honestly cut back on a lot of people driving home from the bar drunk. Many people wouldn't be in such a rush to get there drinks in before 2AM hits.

Also in Australia you can buy beer on a sidewalk bar and walk down the street while drinking it. I honestly dont know why we cant do that here.

You think we are a free country until you really stop and think about it. Especially if you travel frequently and see what real freedom is.
