which genre does shpongle fall under?

All I remember is the last sample I heard from shpongle had rapping and stuff in it. If thats the case I dont want to buy their stuff

Shpongle, like many good artists I like, falls under a number of categories. Since its a collaboration of Simon Posford and Raja Ram, there's obviously influences from psy&goa trance as well as world, ethnic, ambient, and new age type music. Some of their tracks have crafty enough beat programming at a high enough tempo to be drum 'n' bass - ish... and er... at the end of the day, it's hard to classify, which is why I like 'em.
