I'm sure there fine for just mixing.... but why pay $1100.00 for something that doesn't scratch???

I can get a Pioneer cdj-100 to do that, or even numark axis 8's...

crap, even the axis8/9 sounds better than the dz1200. They need to do something like redesign the dz1200 and release the dz1200mk2 or something.

because everything else they make is shit....

They haven't done anything good other than make a turntable that has a 25 year old design. Sure they work great, but all those years w/o making anything else of quality....Makes an R&D team a little rusty...

They really should stick to making expensive turntables with the exact same features they've had for the last 25 years...

i would agree that if you are scratching the dz1200 is doody... but for the the mixer who is used to the 1200 feel and just wants to occasionally drop a cd its not bad at all.

Bloody Hell!

I honestly didn't think I'd see this many bad reviews of the Technics CD Deck. I thought it would blow the Pioneer away but obviously not.

Personally i think the concept for the DZ1200 is a good one, the only other manufacturer to attempt it is numark, but all in all for the next few years anyway i think Pioneer will be the all-mighty of CD mixers.

I havnt tried the DZ1200's yet either, it has so many mixed reviews its hard to tell until i try it but give it time and even Pioneer will be tyring the concept IMO.

when someone finally gets it right, wether it be Technics, Pioneer or any other manufacturer then we will see the demise of vinyl... sad but true.

I Saw this movie a few days ago, damn these Techs suck...
But from what I've heard, the Denon sounds more realistic in scratching than the Pioneer...
