Yah know I would come support but I wake up at 5:00am every morning during the week. And I just can't pull of the all nighter anymore.

Mirka, you've always been a great person. And you're right about a lot of the stuff you said. Also, Sean and you are both right, the scene here is brutal. There is just no roots for the music here, hardly any producers (there are some though.. I think Powerplant and Shiloh are both local, just to name two), etc. etc...
Anyways, before I put my foot any farther down my throat, i will make an effort to come down one time, but we all know i'm a lazy sack so I won't make any promises.. why make a promise that I might not be able to keep. I do still tune in to your show every week though whenever I'm home or have a radio nearby!
As for azim and tazix, maybe some people get a bit frustrated with their selections, others maybe great frustrated that they always play at every event they host (which is their perogative) (and I realize that they both don't play at every event, but usually at least one, and I'm not even sure if its both of them hosting or just one of them doing a lot of the promotional/hosting work). Sometimes they promote local talent, but they are the headliners, the last djs before the headliners at other shows, etc etc and I'm sure it frustrates some of the local djs who feel they have talent and something to contribute to the community but because of a lack of slots (clubs, clubs events, major events, anything) that it's difficult. I don't know, I have never met or heard them spin, so I try to watch what I say, and everything I just said about them now is just a guess (guesses) and should be treated so. I don't presume to assume anything, I'm just basing my thoughts off of what other people seem to say.
Maybe some people are getting tired of
HEADLINER
AZIM + TAXIZ
their friends
as the lineups. Again, just a guess. And if people lose respect for me speaking my mind here and being honest and trying to throw guesses out there, then that's up to them. Whatever (I have a rep. as a jerk anyways). If I'm totally wrong, someone tell me and enlighten me and make me a wiser human being =) (And i don't mean that sarcastically.. sometimes you never learn unless you ask or say things.. can't always learn by just watching).

i have respect for all the local DJs trying to show their talent to the world, even azim and tazix a little tiny bit
it is tough business to attract crowds to something that is of obscure nature to probably about 80% of the population (maybe more, maybe less, who knows). now that i've been in holland, i feel a tad spoiled because almost anywhere you go you get electronic music and it's big and popular. i think one day the scene can be as big in vancouver but we all need to work very hard for it and those who are working right now will be the forefathers of the scene in the future. i really think we ALL should make an effort to promote events and DJs, its almost our responisibility to do so being part of TA.
yes, i do dislike tazix and azim's DJing skills. i never had the chance to meet them, but i have seen them around and their behavior, and i dislike that also. they are arrogant assholes who can't spin and think they are gods. maybe once you get to know them outside the club scene they are nice guys, but honestly, they need to take Being a DJ 100, or at least tone down on their superiority complex
p.s. i have not attended many of the recent events for the distance related reasons
