Let me bring you up to date. Gore lost and Bush won. We're at war and Gore is no longer a viable candidate for the presidency.

Evolving Arguments:
Today the Gore legacy lingers. Many of his supporters still seek-out problems in the 2000 Florida Election, hoping to justify his disruption and somehow prove he was the winner. Over time their arguments have evolved into a variety of themes such as Supreme Court decisions, supposed purged voting rolls, unequal voting systems for minorities, etc.

But it is important to understand that these post-election complaints had nothing to do with Gore's quest in Florida.

Ask yourself this question - How exactly was Gore trying to resolve "false felony voting rolls" by having manual recounts in Democrat counties? - And you'll get the idea. Even if these post-election complaints have validity, they had nothing to do with Gore's quest of overthrowing the election. Most of these so-called election problems had nothing to do with his desperate quest for manual recounts in Democrat counties.

hey, i'm not an avid supporter of either candidates...I'm more into discussing why Bush won the presidency. Two slightly different arguments. I really don't care if it was Gore or Clinton running in the last election, the point that I wanted to address was how Bush won the presidency. And honestly, I feel that anyone else, I MEAN ANYONE ELSE in office these past few years would've not resulted in War with Iraq and pissing off the makority of the world with our obnoxious ambitions. I want the truth, if there is any, of Bush and the Republicans manipulating the system in anyway. I want to know if there was an alternative to the way our nation lives today, if there was a different future. Of course, it doesn't matter now anyhow, i understand that much. But if there was foul play, then shouldn't americans know? shouldn't americans prevent this from happening again? or was there no foul play in your opinion? thats the question that needs to be addressed. Not which side i care for, or wish had won, i am looking at just the principle. Could our present situation be different, quite possibly better than it is currently? I think it should've been, could've been and would've been if Florida didn't happen. Read the articles carefully. Although it is heavily Democratically inspired, the fact remains, they accuse and then they present the evidence. You tell me what to think?

fair enough. you may have a honest interest to see through the bullshit. you also have a lot of questions that you would like answered that just happened to be in one post.

i'm not that arrogant to tell you what you should think, but what i think and most independent intelligent thinkers agree, was that it was a close race. where is the litigational firestorm that would undoubtedly result from several hundred people involved with rigging the election to the most powerful office in the world?

there wasn't. Gore ceded.
I've said this before here that the dems are salivating for ANY seat of majority power in this country that they've lost fair and square over the last decade, salivating and freakishly desperate. they saw that with the 2000 election that that could very well be their death knell for the next 20 years as the minority. hence we have sat through sound bite after sound bite, and attack after attack, and politicizing of every single nuance of every single action this administration has dealt with over the last 4 yrs. because they see the light at the end of their tunnel, the continuation of their liberal legacy lost with Clinton and ceded by Gore, the '04 election.
more bullshit to wade through on to november.

Then I started to wonder about the Florida Recount and the whole unprecedented ordeal this country faced...My inquiry is as follows, does anyone else feel as though Gore should have won the past elections?...I believed that it was going to be a tight race and then Florida happened...Few weeks later, and several recounts, we have George W. being inaugurated...I believe that there could have been foul play. George W. Bush, forced his way into office. I wouldn't be surprised if George Bush had a hand in it. For a man, whose political experience was very limited, had no real issues to debate, and had very limited knowledge of world politics and affairs, it is a surprise to some degree that the country did not speculate foul play. Its been done before, watergate, and proven also - as well as having nixon resign. Bush then takes office, doesn't prepare against 9/11, and then declares war on IRAQ to lash out on terrorism? Iraq, in itself, is another issue to be dealt with, but not in the manner in which Bush did it. Look at the way events transpired. Yeah I know Condaleezza Rice said, "there is no silver bullet" in regards to preventing 9/11 or any other terrorist attack. I understand her point, but that doesn't mean that the response to 9/11 meant going into IRAQ, let alone having this very unexperienced politician harassing the UN and most of our allies in trying to collude against the proposed enemy. Having said that, it isn't surprising the twist and turn of events since the Florida Recount. For me, its pretty clear, Bush is deceiving and so was/is his plan. ALthough its in the name of freedom and patriotism, you can't hide evil and its manipulative demeanor. Something isn't quite right with the whole picture, as it will show through our history books, just like watergate, that the evidence is quickly mounting and will soon enough show clearly the ugly intentions and plans of this illegitimate president.
