Enjoy either way.
Cheers

i totally agree about the faders, its really annoying.. then theres the x-fader which is just plain dogshit..
tbh, the only thing i actually like about the mixer is the filters. i would settle for a djm600/3000 any day!

not every piece of equipment with a fancy name is necessarily great?
Have you ever used a P and G crossfader before? If not, don't assume they're good because other people say so.

The fader isn't dog shit. it's just the curve of the fader.

i think that the long faders are geared towards smoother longer mixing and not cuts necessarily. i think its just a question of style... i guess in the extreme case, its just like rotary mixers: noone complains about how they feel becuase thats how they are supposed to feel. i am sure that if allen and heath wanted to make faders with a shorter throw or xfaders with a steeper curve they could... well i guess i better ask if they did that in their two channel scratch mixer before i make a fool of myself lol....
anyhow long smooth fading goes together with my style pretty well and coupled with the great sound quality, i personal prefer it over the pio even though it is a great mixer also
