I'm not heavily into breaks but I do like this tune a lot. I first heard it when I purchased the Vengaboys album when it was released ('98 I think). Love the bass, the beats, the vocal and the piano riffs.

No, this is most definitely trance and not "something-breaks". Trance isn't defined by a 4-4 beat . That is the kind of thinking which motivates all of the shit coming out in 2004.

One of the trademarks of the trance sound is the four-to-the-floor beat. Some trance tracks have breakbeat sections, but if a song is completely breakbeat then it is considered breaks and not trance.
