i beg to differ. the problem is that it can happen but people arent into taking even a slight risk these days. Also the record labels are so tightly knitted with the tv and radio outlets that its hard to get anything independent on the air anymore.

It used to be that radio and nightclubs set the music trends. Sadly now its the guys who produce american idol that are setting them.

i honestly don't think the market is big enough to support a 24hr a day EDM station.

right now i'll settle for 100.7fm with Club246 Radio

I tried somthing like this about 3 years ago with some guys. Had the venture and all, but the deal fell through last minute because of regulation crap and investors backed out.

If someone has the cash and is willing to do it, i have the means and the format ideas to get it going.

It will definately be a CRTC nightmare though. Anyone who thinks that Canadians have freedom to broadcast at will is dreaming. You are actually not allowed to switch a format unless the government allows it. (nice free democracy this is eh?)
