Well well... sounds like these things are not quite the pain i envisioned them to be.... maybe i'll pick up a pair next week when i get my paycheck. My other headphones are too big to comfortably carry around and i didn't want to sacrifice sound quality by getting a smaller pair. If the sound quality is just THAT GOOD with these buds, i see myself getting a pair.

FYI - The E2's are only $99 US (as opposed to $175 for the E3) and are worshiped in the iPod scene.

The E3's give you a little more power (louder), better frequency response (wider range/clearer highs and lows) and a bit more durable cable. But even so I'm shure (pun!) the E2's night and day better than the typical earbud.

Hmm, maybe I'll go to Fry's and see how they are. 3 hours of listening on the plane and my ears were hurting from the ones I'm using now. Just uncomfortable in my ear.

My brother raved about the E3's - specifically about wearing them on the plane. He said it blocked out close to 100% of the engine noise, crying babies, yapping mofo's, etc. He wore them for the whole 5 hours from LAX to YYZ and back again.

Hmm... sounds like a good idea for bus/plane trips. Especially a flight to Australia that's over 20 hours (next spring)
Maybe I should think about an iPod too. Thanks for the review RJ

If only they had a line-in for recording, still need to find a good recording device that's not grossly expensive and useful for other stuff.

I'm 90% sure I've seen an attachment for the ipod which turns it into a recording device.

(attaches in at the bottom where the power/data cable connects)

I'd go to http://www.shure.com and look for their dealer list.

I'm sure Steve's on Queen sells them - since a lot of muscians use the for monitors.
