The 22rd of June is here, and I actually couldn't wait. Here's how it went.
First of all some background.
After 3-4 weeks of hard studying for several exams, and only sporadic
visits to the gym, something happened. For the fun of it I tried a friend
of mine's bathroom weight and discovered that I weighted 92kgs!
That's 4kg more than last time, and 6kgs away from my ideal weight.
I usually work out 5 times a week, so this kind of says what happens
if you break up with your routine.
Anyways, I know that a person's fitness level can be displayed
with a simple function:
y=Ec+Es+F
Ec = Cardiovascular exercise
Es = Strength exercise
F = Food intake
Realising this, I set up an instrumental millitary style workout programme which I followed every day....:
Each day consisted of:
40 minutes walking to a distant busstop(to go to uni), instead of using the stop outside my appartment building.
60 minutes of running (aproximately 12 kilometres)
60 minutes of weightlifting (at the gym)
40 minutes walking home again from the bus late at night from that distant busstop.
Breakfast : One 425gram can of tuna (500 calories and plenty of proteins) (with some black pepper on it actually tastes quite good!)
Lunch : One pack of noodles (381 calories)
Dinner after workout: One and a half pack of noodles (580 calories)
Last meal : One pack of noodles (381 calories)
No food after 20.00, just energy snacks(below).
Energy snacks : One orange and 3 carrots
Because the energy snacks was insufficient in holding my blood sugar at
good levels, I allowed myself to drink several 300ml cups of coffee acompanied with 1/2 litre portions of water.
This was in order to keep my brain in action whilist studying, and it worked.
This is about a 2000calorie diet. Which is substantially lower than my previous levels.
And guess what: IT WORKED!
The net result of this was that my weight today the 22rd of June is 88kgs.
This means that I lost 4kgs from originally weighing 92kgs!
Problems I had during this programme(cons):
-------------------------------------------
Hunger - REAL Hunger, however a good deal of willpower helped me through all of that
Sleep deprivation - I slept really bad, probably because I always went to bed hungry as a wolf
Blisters on my feet - those 12k's were hard on me
Sore hips - usually went away after one day of restoring...
Pros:
------------------
Healthy bodyweight
Seriously good shape
Proved my point.
Why this weight will last:
This programme has given my fitnesscurve a sound shift to the right (I'm studying economics,
diagrams is all I think about nowadays I guess I could represent it using vectors but I won't go all scientific on your ass ).
I will of course continue to pursue such a program 5 days a week.
Because I do not plan on going back to previous eating habits,
my original weight will not come back.
Why did I do this?
Because I know for a fact what I have learnt the hard way:
That chicks dig good looking guys. I am going home tomorrow (from Australia to Norway) for a vacation,
and there will be plentiful of beachparties, hence my need to attempt to look good
I did it, I lost 4kgs in 5 days.
Mission acomplished!
