the perc isn't orignal, its an hihat, that is to loud

till 0.47 seconds the tune sounds quite nice, but the mix is just horrible.

the fx are just to loud for the break.

then comes the bass, which totally screws it up, sounds muddy as well, like there is some release on it.

then there comes the "awesome perc" the hihat, have a feeling that the hihat is louder than the kick.

that weird square? riff don't really fit the melody at all.

Main synth isn't great sorry, but it isn't trancy for my taste + technically it's to weak to carry the theme.

i played it last night on headphones gave it a fast review, but now i played it loud, to give you constructive.

and please, rulez say SAMPLES AT 160KB MIN, why do people ignore this?

hmm, interesting!

i like hearing criticism all of my tracks, you told me everything bad about my remix, and nothing good, thanks for it!

did you find any good parts in it too? i dont think so...

otherwise, you have some right in about some parts, i will fix them this day, brother...

anyway, thanks for your comments!

peter

Very nice. Although the string you're using sounds a bit too vibrated, imo...

If you consider THIS melody good, you should check out "Sean Tyas - You Guide Me" or his remix of "My Immortal" by Evanesence. It's the best remix out there.

I have to agree on the mix not being a-ok

hihat too loud for starters

The synth line also sounds a bit dull to me, no real magic between pads bassline and lead IMHO

I'm just being honest Pete, I'd rework it

melody is a bit weak.
the hihats, kind of cool what u did in the first min or so, but a bit loud, just seems off.. once it hits the 1:03 area and after, really sounds out of place (too loud for starters, try applying something to them rather than just a volume reduction).

i know sean does great melodies, and you do some great stuff with your own productions, i was really looking forward to this.

the bass sounds really weak too, not very full.

highs too simple, just a hihat, sounds too obvious (2min area and on) and the melody is still too weak.

i'm assuming this is the middle of the track, but you might extend it by building into it a bit at the beginning, maybe with that hihat thing you have going at the first 40 secs?

add something in the bottom and mid levels to fill it out, rework the highs, too simple.

come on pete! i know u can do better

*edit*
yes pete, im a retard, stop bugging me on msn!!
next time i'll just post some simple feedback like "dling" hehe

Cool

the perc fx are pretty good although somewhat loud and overused, the synths + bass are very simple along with the trancier percs. the mix sounds very dead, probably due to everything sounding very close to initialized synth patches, the presence of a sub and actual strong percussions + lead would help no end

+ u gotta take the rough with the smooth on this forum, not everybody will love your tracks, + the guy does have a point about u not posting in anybody elses tunes
