Story eh... here goes...

Last Saturday, I went to an ATM. I tried to withdraw $50. It gave me back my card and receipt... no money. Shit, the bank has taken 50 dollars out of my account yet not given it to me.

Of course, they're out of office hours... I could only get through to lost/stolen cards. After much "umms" and "uhhs" they told me that I should wait until Tuesday to see if the bank corrects the error.

They don't.

On Wednesday I walk into the bank and up to a teller, where I am promptly escorted to their direct line to telephone banking. Half an hour on the phone with a customer service rep, and I'm in business.

"Thankyou Thomas, we will send you a letter in the mail outlining your dispute while we investigate."

My name isn't Thomas.. it doesn't even start with T. How he was able to call me that when my life story is on a PC in front of him escapes me.

Anyway... I forgot about it, expecting it would be months before I saw any money, when today I see an extra $50 in my account.

Yah. True story.

There was a lady a couple of months ago who deposited a cheque at the bank, dunno how much it was but for argument's sake it was $150.00. Apparently the teller keyed the number in twice by mistake, so the lady was credited $15,000,150.00!

Then when they realised their mistake they took the money back and charged her the withdrawal fees
