Burning 263 CDs can take a pretty long time, it's not really the cost I'm worried about...

i think you should do what i did.

i have a laptop and i got freaked out that my life's works will be over in a second. so i figured to buy a simple 533Mhz desktop (which i bought for $100 with nothing inside and bought a HD for $50) and dumped all my work on the desktop. i keep that one offline for life, and i plan never to intend to bring it online for any purposes.

hahahaha

i say if you have precious works that you never want to lose, get a PIII or celeron computer (which you would probably get for less than $250 now) and put a nice HD on it and you're set. oh yeah and a monitor of course.
