u cant see naked people either. they only show shoulders or a big fuzzy thing over their parts.
its gay, we know.
The FCC doesn't do all of that. They only regulate broadcast media (radio, TV).
Movie ratings - Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) - other countries rate movies too
Parental advisory - Recording Industry of America (RIAA)
Video game ratings - Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB)

Yep, the FCC is only involved in anything that is broadcast in any way shape or form (radio, television, wire, satellite and cable) and they've become very censor happy as of late.

That is wack. When t-shirt and hat brands and dog shit are censored, you have to wonder. Might as well live in Communism.

I think it's fair enough censoring swearing at early times, but censoring dog crap is taking it a bit too far...

MTV's censorship is a joke... they also censored it when Ozzy and Sharon took a sip of wine at their wedding vow renewal ceremony. Then they show these tits and ass hip hop videos all day...

The FCC doesn't have anything to do with censoring logos on t-shirts, hats, soda cans, etc. That is up to the network. The reason they do that is for advertising purposes. For example, since we are talking about MTV, let's say Coca-Cola is a sponsor for the Real World. They pay for an ad to air during the Real World. Now let's say in one of the episodes one of the people is drinking a Pepsi. MTV will blur the Pepsi can because Pepsi paid $0 for the exposure of their brand while Coke pays $10,000 or whatever. Don't you think that would piss off Coke and lead them to pull their product if Pepsi got free exposure? That would result in a loss of a lot of money for MTV. And the reason why they do the same with clothing company logos is because MTV makes a lot of money off clothing companies for advertising.

I can understand the business end of it, but it still kind of sucks. And I agree with the hip-hop video comment. Those videos are ridiculous, yet ok, and drinking wine can't be shown. Lame.

Somebody call Rage Against the Machine!
Come to think of it, has anyone seen the video for Killing in the Name? I'd like to see them blank out all the fucks from that!
