i been having similar problems with aim for some reason it make my whole computer crash when i use it for a few minutes.So i just stop using it completely.I just reinstalled it it worked fine,but your all ready said that didnt work.

suckers, i fixed all my myself.

i deleted all of my cookies and net temp files, and changed my LAN settings in Internet Options.. seems to work fine now.

Better than Trillian is GAIM. It's open-source, and has support for AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, and Jabber. It doesn't support IRC, but then again Trillian's IRC client sucks.
